Bending Technique: Non-Bender

Past: Suzume is one of two children of a wealthy glass smith family. Both of her parents died when he was a pre-teen and when her brother joined the Ashbirds to protect their family shop, she followed suit. The Ashbirds became like extended family for the young girl, growing attached to the members there.

Timeskip: Suzume was first to find out about Maksa's death, and obviously went to tell her brother, Takumi. (*Ranya-Ni's character) Meaning to keep his sister from doing something rash and dangerous, like avenge Maksa's death, Takumi insisted that Suzume leave the Ashbirds. She tried for weeks to reason with him, but every time Takumi insisted that she was no longer permitted to be a full standing member of the gang. Hurt, upset, and confused, Suzume reacted the only way she knew how, she lashed out. Her disposition and her temper became worse the longer Takumi dodged her questions and tried to keep her away from the temple. At a loss for how to deal with his grieving sister, Takumi finally sent her to live with their Aunt Juo, sister to their late mother, outside Jingdou city.

Aunt Juo is a rather unfeeling and traditional woman, and found Suzume's lack of proper "lady like" qualities appalling. Since the young woman was under her care, very soon after being sent there, Aunt Juo enrolled Suzume in a finishing school board house. Her first year of schooling, 'Me absolutely rebelled against the teachers and her studies. Still unable to find a proper outlet for her grief and anger at her brother, she tormented the staff by ignoring everything they tried to teach her. By her second year, she discovered blatantly fighting back wasn't getting her any head way, so she chose a more subtle approach. Suzume, in her mind, was still an Ashbird. So she was going to be an Ashbird.

In her spare time, Suzume practiced sneaking about the school, slipping into locked offices, getting past the guards. Working on her balance and stealth. She also began an "underground" smuggling ring at her school. Items considered indulgent or contraband by school policy, and unfitting for proper young ladies, Suzume would find a way to get it inside. She would sell or barter with her fellow students. This of course made her very popular among the girls, and gave her somewhat of a reputation as the "go-to."

She is now currently enrolled in her third and final year of finishing school, and can act surprisingly well the part of a properly groomed and polite young woman. Her Aunt and Takumi don't know about her silent rebellion, and the stir she's created at her place of study. Suzume ultimately still blames Takumi for being sent away and the attempted brain washing (or so she calls it) of the reform school. So any of her visits home to the city are quite tense. She spends most of her visiting time away from the shop.

They've only recently come to an agreement where Takumi allows her to be again amongst the birds, but very reluctantly on his part.

Future: Suzume means to finish her time at the finishing school as soon as possible (this being one of her conditions of return to the Ashbirds). She still has small girl fantasies of marrying rich and never working again, but these are more of an idle fantasy these days then a driving force. Her biggest goal is to become someone useful. Strong enough, and capable enough to keep the people she cares about safe.

Other Notes: USING SUZUME IN MISSIONS: Any and everyone is welcome to use Suzume in missions, there is no need to ask! Please keep the following rules in mind if you want to use her so I don't have to keep repeating myself. Thanks!

- The mission cannot seriously injure or scar my character in anyway.
- The mission cannot KILL my character. At all.
- Unlike her brother, as he gets older his eyes get wider. Suzume's eyes have become more narrow as she matures. Still not a fox face, but something to consider.
- Suzume is a younger sister, and a scorned one. As such, she's developed a knack of being quite the troublemaker. She loves mischief, and very rarely gets herself caught.
- Her time at the finishing school has taught her better "Acting skills" (or so she considers them), learning proper etiquette and manners. Most of the other students are of a noble decent, so image is everything. She doesn't like it, but when the situation arises, she can behave accordingly.
- Feel free to dress her in anything you'd like so long as it follows the Ashbirds clothing guidelines. You need not draw her in exactly the same clothing every time if you don't want to.
